This delightful 17thC listed farmhouse oozes character and charm and has been a family home for many years. It nestles in the beautiful village of Troutbeck with wonderful views down the valley, a charming garden, spacious rooms and lots of extras that will make this a truly sought after holiday home. Quiet and picturesque, Troutbeck makes a perfect base for a holiday in any season, a place to enjoy walks from the door, two famous hostelries and a tiny village shop, indeed the well-known Mortal Man is just a short stroll away up the lane.
Accommodation: The usual entrance is reached through a small shared courtyard to the wide covered porch and back door. The family dining kitchen has a wealth of storage, an island work area and plenty of room for family dining whilst a slate shelved cold store off the kitchen is perfect for keeping all your stuff. An Aga takes pride of place in the kitchen complimented by an electric hob and oven. A door leads through to the formal dining room and then on into an inner hall, (downstairs shower room with basin and wc). The spacious sitting room takes up the full width of the ground floor (log burner, flat screen TV ), and has a door to the enclosed front garden.
There are three spacious bedrooms on the first floor. The super king master bedroom en-suite (bath, walk-in shower, basin and wc.), a further super- king double and a good sized twin which can be another super king bed. There is also a handy WC with hand basin.
Without a doubt the great 'extra' in Yew Tree Barn is the spacious cinema/games room. Reached via stairs from the kitchen with its comfy seating and super large (10ft x 6ft) wall screen onto which you can project films or TV (don't forget to bring your favourite films) as well as the table tennis table - (a great bonus in all weathers.)
